Job Title: Technical Marketing Specialist
SUMMARY: The selected candidate is to be the contact for Shanghai Seaman with fabricators, architects and designers in the architectural fabrics and
with minor emphasis on geomembrane. This candidate will work closely
with Technical Marketing Manager to develop the market in China for Seaman’s products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Achieve the targeted sales and work to execute Corporate Strategic Plan.
·
Acquire new sales leads from online lead service, research, cold calling
and through marketplace immersion.
·
Proactively call and visit Architectural fabricators, designers, code
agencies and others in the channel for sales of Architectural fabrics.
·
Present technical arguments to decision makers to sell Architectural
fabrics, both to direct buyers and to specification writers.
·
Provide formal and informal presentations to individuals and groups
involved in the specification and sales of Architectural fabrics.
·
Follow an agreed Call Plan. Set
own schedule to accomplish Call Plan.
Report and review Call Plan with Manager.
·
Develop and maintain a project and sales list with assigned rankings and
follow-ups; Report and review project status list with Manager.
·
Work with Technical Marketing Manager to establish the Chinese
specifications of Seaman’s products sold in China and make them complied with
China standards and codes.
·
Work with Technical Marketing Manager to get Seaman’s products tested
and certified in China.
·
Work with Technical Marketing Manager to develop various Chinese selling tools.
·
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
·
Education: B.S. Degree in
Technical Field, or business with compensatory experience.
·
Background: Minimum three years
sales experience in building material industry.
COMPETENCY
·
Good English reading and writing ability, and basic English
communication ability.
·
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Team
player, willing to try new methods to accomplish common goals.
·
Strong organizational and time management skills.
·
Competent in a broad range of Civil Engineering topics.
·
Articulate, able to effectively speak before technical audiences of
varying sizes.
·
Good computer skills and Microsoft Office presentation skills.
·
Ability to
interface with customers, users and regulators on a technical, business, and sales level.
·
Ability and desire to understand and execute corporate strategic
directives.
·
Comfortable in a sales environment.
·
Out of office requirement: 50-60%.
